The Results of the AISJ Board of Trustees
Extraordinary General Meeting
On Tuesday February 15, over 80 people participated in the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Association, by proxy or in person, to vote on three special resolutions to change various aspects of the Association's processes and the Board's structure. A short presentation by the Committee on Trustees was followed by a lively debate, with many insightful questions asked and different points of view shared. The three resolutions were approved by an overwhelming majority.
It was very gratifying for the Board to see such a level of engagement and support from the community. The passing of the resolutions represents a significant step forward in the professionalization of the governance of our school.
As per the resolutions passed, the Annual General Meeting, which had been scheduled for March 2011, will now take place in May 2011. Details will be forthcoming.
