The Recruitment Process

At the American International School of Johannesburg we firmly believe that quality education is highly dependent on both the recruitment and development of a talented and a vibrant staff.

We place critical importance, and expend considerable energy, on the recruitment and training of staff. The vast majority of teachers are hired through interviews held at recruitment fairs in North America, Asia, and the United Kingdom. Vacancies may be listed on the AISJ website as well as with The International Educator, Search Associates, and International Schools Services recruitment agencies.

To fill vacancies for the 2013 - 2014 academic year, AISJ will attend the following recruitment fairs:

  • ISS Bangkok
  • Search Associates Bangkok
  • Search Associates London
  • Search Associates Cambridge
  • ISS San Francisco

The American International School of Johannesburg not only seeks talented and energetic individuals who are committed to working in a collaborative and supportive learning environment, but who critically, are willing to participate in ongoing professional development. AISJ accepts applications throughout the year for any listed vacancies.

Certified teachers with a minimum of two years teaching experience are requested to submit a letter of interest, resume, and supporting documentation (such as statement of philosophy, letters of recommendation) by email to recruitment@aisj-jhb.com.
