South Africa is a beautiful country with stunning landscapes and a huge variety of animals, both big and small. What is a better way to explore it than on foot?

The Hiking Club on day two of the Peach Tree Creek Trail near Pilgrim’s Rest.

The emphasis is on getting out into the bush, being active and having fun, but there are also opportunities to develop survival and leadership skills. The club is for High School students but when places are available, teachers and parents are welcome to join in.

Every two years there is a team of students, teachers and parents that climb Mount Kilimanjaro during the Easter holiday. The next trip will be in 2011. The hikes serve as important preparation for the Kili team.

Join us and see for yourself the wonders of Africa.
