The goal of counseling is to support students as they strive to achieve their full potential as individuals. Our philosophy is anchored to the belief that students are goal directed and worthy of every possible support we can provide them and their families as they progress through life.
Toward that end, Student Services staff provide the comprehensive services listed below. When the teenager or family is faced with life’s normal developmental hurdles, or when they are coping with personal concerns, the ultimate goal of a comprehensive counseling and student services program is to assist them in meeting these challenges in ways that promote individual and family growth.
Particular sensitivity, understanding and support of children and families who move frequently overseas underscores the approach to counseling at AISJ. Helping families and students with entry to AISJ and when leaving AISJ are always an important focus of our services and interventions.
College and university counseling , regardless of where the student intends to reside in the world, is an essential feature of the counseling program. The counselor assists students in narrowing their college choice and in exploring career options.
