Welcome to the Middle School!
Our Middle School is an energetic place that seeks to support every student in the journey toward adulthood. We believe in a healthy school climate is built around strong student-teacher relationships, positive peer group relationships, and parent collaboration. Our faculty is comprised of professionals dedicated to providing a challenging academic curriculum supported in a safe, respectful environment.
We provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on inquiry. For our 6th grade students transitioning into middle school we offer a combined humanities program (language arts and social studies) and math/science program, and either French or Spanish as their core subjects. 6th grade students also take PE and Health, Choir or Band, and an exploratory each quarter. Our 7th and 8th grade students receive instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, French or Spanish, PE, Health, and a semester each of Art and Design Technology. As these students grow in to young adults seeking more independence they are able to choose an elective between Drama/Movie Arts, or choir, or band.
Our program includes a variety of activities to enhance and support our academic offerings and meet the needs of all middle level learners. These include Classroom Without Walls, an emerging MS activities and student leadership program, music and theatre programs. Students start off the day in advisory, a home base where they make connections and build relationships.
