Professional Learning @ AISJ

How do we improve student learning through developing our own practice?
Our purpose is to improve student learning through developing teacher practice through collaboration and professional development. A half day early release for students every week supports ongoing collaborative planning, curriculum development and training for faculty.

Our current and planned activities include:

  • Workshops on UbD, best practices in literacy, differentiated instruction
  • Collaborative unit planning and curriculum design
  • Vertical teaming and cross campus/divisional planning
  • Curriculum reviews
