Parent Association

The Parent Associations supports the School’s philosophy, programs, and activities for the benefit of all students at the school. The Associations facilitate communication, parent education and encourages and coordinates volunteers. The Parent Associations foster a spirit of diversity, partnership, and cooperation among the entire school community.

The AISJ Parent Association (PA) Boards in Johannesburg and Pretoria work on behalf of the school, providing social events and activities to help parents, students and the AISJ community to engage. We hold monthly PA Board meetings to share information, collect feedback and provide assistance and support. Our goal is to make you and your children's international experience in South Africa a memorable one. We are self-funding and use the money we raise to enhance the learning experience of our children, as well as those less privileged in our local community.

Objectives

To enhance the sense of the AISJ Community.
To develop and nurture a relationship amongst parents and between parents and the School.
To provide assistance to families with regard to the AISJ and South African communities at large.

WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY

Welcome to all new and returning families at AISJ.

You are in the right place at the right time, and are surrounded by an amazing international community here at AISJ. Whether you are brand new to SA or have been here for years, please know that we are all one supportive community that is here for each other.

The Johannesburg PA works with the school community to organize and sponsor social events and activities to help parents, students, and the entire campus to continue to build a strong supportive community.

We are a self-funding organization and use finances we raise to enhance the experience of AISJ students, as well as less privileged in our local community through the school's service learning projects.

Parents are automatically members of the Johannesburg PA while their child is a student at the Johannesburg Campus.

Mistletoe Marketplace is our fabulous Christmas Market with over 50 craft and food vendors. A GREAT opportunity to shop before going home for the holidays as well as try sweets from our PA sponsored bake sale.

Family Fun Day is not to miss. It is an all-day family event with yummy food, rides for the kids and our International Basket Auction!! We will ensure that there is something for everyone. It is also our main fund-raiser of the year.

We invite you to attend our monthly PA meetings to share ideas, receive information from AISJ, and learn how to become more involved in the AISJ Johannesburg community.

The Johannesburg PA was designed to be a wonderful part of our school and the PA officers are proud to represent you. Please do not hesitate to contact any of us on the PA board with any questions you might have, we are here to help.

PRETORIA PA

WELCOME to our community

On behalf of all the Pretoria Parent Association (PA) officers, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the new and returning families to the AISJ 2019 – 2020 school year.

We, the Pretoria PA, work on behalf of the school to organize and sponsor social events and activities to help parents, students, and everyone involved with our campus to build a strong sense of community. We are a self-funding organization and use monies raised to enhance the experience of AISJ Pretoria students, as well as those less privileged in our local community through the school’s service learning projects. Parents are automatically members of the Pretoria PA while their child is a student at the Pretoria campus.
