JoMUN day 2 has begun with a powerful speech from beatboxer Tina Redman about Africa Connecting and the need to overcome the burdens of national and personal boundaries.

During the opening ceremony, Mahnur Baig, the JoMUN XVII Deputy Secretary-General, and Ishita Pillai, the Secretary-General delivered their opening speeches.
AISJ Rythmantics sang the South African National Anthem and High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco.
The opening ceremony was concluded by school director Andy Page Smith who reflected on the history of JoMUN.
