Parent Update, 13 September

Dear Pretoria Campus Parents,

Thank you to our Parent Association for organizing tonight’s movie night! Please be reminded that we do not have staff to provide supervision for students and your cooperation in making the night fun and safe is greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you at 6:30 PM.

Thank you to our middle school students for your hard work on MAP assessments that were completed this week. All make up assessments will take place next week.

From our Pretoria PA President Stephanie Sexton:

We look forward to seeing you all at Movie Night! Show to start at sundown (about 7 PM). Hot dogs, drinks, chips, ice lollies, and cotton candy for sale when doors open at 6:30 PM. Please consider a volunteer station if you haven’t already. The more people involved, the quicker the lines will be! Don’t forget to bring a blanket or chairs. We did mention the PA Tuk Shop would be open to buy coffee and sports jerseys, but as per Mr. Dave’s email, the uniforms are not in stock. They will be available early next week.

Yesterday at our PA meeting, many items were discussed. Notes will be available on the school website under the PA section. We are looking into alternating PA meetings between day and evening. I’d like to try to gauge interest before attempting to make this change. Please watch for a survey gathering interest about best times for meetings. We would like to include everyone who is interested and don’t want meeting times to be a deterrent. We also need new ideas – what can we do to make our PA even better?

Email - with ideas of how we can become a stronger community.

Last, information will be coming soon about International Day on Oct. 11th! Watch for an email describing the day and how you can be involved.

See you tonight!
