Posted 04-05-2018 10:57AM

Good morning Pretoria Campus Parents,

We hope everyone enjoyed a pleasant break. On behalf of all faculty and staff here on the Pretoria Campus, a huge thank you to our Parent Association for demonstrating their care and appreciation this week. The daily treats have made everyone feel very special!

Today we have two events for our parent body:

1. MS Classroom Without Walls 2018-2019

A parent meeting will be held today at 2:00 p.m. in the Library Annex regarding the MS CWW Camp 2018-19 for students currently in grades 5-7.  The CWW shall be taking place from Monday, September 3 to Thursday, September 6 at Camp Cyara in Hekpoort.  To view the Camp and its facilities please click here

2. Band & Choir Concert

The AISJ Pretoria Bands and Choir Concert which takes place this afternoon, will begin with our Grade 5 students and Beginning Band Middle School students, most of whom began  learning their instruments in August of this year. They have made remarkable progress and will share with you several Band arrangements in our upcoming Band & Choir Concert on Friday, May 4 starting at 3:10 p.m. in the Lapa. Our Intermediate Band students have been playing their instruments for two, three or more years and have advanced to complex arrangements challenging them to further develop their ability to express dynamics, demonstrate various articulations and balance in ensemble playing. The Choir students have been working this year on articulation and tone as well as singing songs in a variety of styles. We will celebrate both our Choir and Band students after the concert with a reception. We hope to see you there!

Remember, tomorrow is our annual Yard Sale. Come along and enjoy some great bargain buys and enjoy a coffee and a chat with community members.
