Candy Gram Fundraiser
As the end of the year approaches, we will be having a candy gram fundraiser to support the Meetse A Bophelo School in their design of Solar Cookers as a continuation of our Service Learning Project earlier this year. We will use the proceeds to purchase materials to assist them in making and using their solar cookers. We are asking for donations of mini size candy bars to use for the fundraiser. Please turn in donations no later than next week Thursday, May 24. Thank you for your support!
Grade 8 Carnival
The third annual 8th grade Cardboard Carnival will take on Tuesday, June 5th. As in year’s past, the 8th graders will create and run carnival style games. This is the 8th graders culminating service learning project. Students from all of our grade levels are encouraged to attend and purchase tickets to play the games. If you win a game you receive a tasty treat. Any student who spends at least 50 Rand on tickets will be guaranteed at least one treat. All proceeds go to charity. Last year the 8th graders voted to use the profits in order to pay school tuition for a political refugee living at Mercy House. The 8th graders thank you for your support and hope to see all of you at the carnival.
Please join us at midday on Wednesday June 6 in the lapa, as we celebrate our year together and say our goodbyes.
The second of our bi-annual student reports will be available to parents on PowerSchool from 3pm on Wednesday, June 6. Please click here to view a How To document which can be used to guide you through the access steps.
Our annual Winter School, open to students currently in EC to Grade 5, is open for registration. To access the required form please click here. Please print, complete and return to the Office.
