Assessment

Learning Guides indicate what it might look like to be successful in four different categories of task that the project involves: Investigation, Planning, Taking Action and Looking Back.

The Learning Guides also include suggested tasks that students might do to further their learning and questions that they might discuss with their mentors.

The Learning Guides are part of the printed Isithelo Handbook but can also be competed digitally by using this editable PDF version.

Towards the end of the project student prepare to communicate what they did and what they learned. They do this by participating in the Isithelo Exhibition.

At the end of the project students take part in a Viva Voce with their mentor and then write a reflection. The Learning Guides and the Daily Planners will be a major source of information upon which to draw reflective insights for both the Viva Voce and the written reflection.

Once the students reflection has been validated by their mentor is becomes part of the students Semester 2 report.
